Memphis Police Release Photos of Suspects in Young Dolph Shooting Death

(FoxNews) – Memphis Police have released photos of the men believed to be responsible for the shooting death of rapper Young Dolph.

The rapper was shot and killed outside of a Memphis strip club Friday night. Police said he was approaching a pick-up truck when shots were fired. Young Dolph was killed when he was shot in the head and abdomen. His entourage was not harmed.

In a statement, the Memphis Police Department said they had “approximately three persons of interest in custody that we are questioning.” The statement also said they are searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting.

The Memphis Police Department said investigators have questioned witnesses, but they can’t say if they have any lead on the shooters.

After being shot, police said, Dolph was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said in a statement the rapper was shot on the 500 block of Victory Lane, located in the area of Memphis’ Griffin/Marion area.

The statement also said that “investigators with the MPD are presently speaking with those that were with Dolph prior to the shooting.”

After Dolph’s death, rapper Rick Ross posted a tribute to him on social media.

“RIP Dolph. May God bless and keep your family whole,” Ross said in a caption on Instagram.

Young Dolph, whose real name is Malik Bruce, was born and raised in Memphis. He rose to fame as a member of Memphis rap collective Young Vito’s Fresh Out. He also released his debut solo album, Savemoney, in 2017.

According to Rolling Stone, Dolph has shared the stage with Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, Migos, and Machine Gun Kelly. He even attended President Trump’s inauguration.
